Since February 4th, heavy snowfall has kept citrus farmers in the mountains busy with a race to harvest.
They’re working hard to prevent damage from the snow, which can break tree branches, weigh them down, or cause them to freeze if buried under the snow.
今月4日から雪の影響で、有機かんきつ生産者の圃場がある山間部では急ピッチでかんきつ類を収穫する作業が続いています。木の枝や幹が雪の重みで折れたり、枝が地面まで垂れ下がり雪に埋もれた状態になって凍結して駄目になってしまう被害を防ぐ為です。
